  2012 report analysis - countries with reduced publisher figures

  i've just started munching through the figures for 2012 in the new 2013 yearbook, now available on jw.org.. i thought you might be interested to see which countries saw "negative growth" over 2012.. these are as follows.... .

  *sudan is so dramatically reduced because south sudan is now independent and the society has adjusted the publisher figures accordingly.. .

  Over the past seven years, from 1974 to 1980 inclusive, Jehovah’s Witnesses have made steady progress. Their growth is healthy. Only as to Memorial partakers has there been a gradual decline, which is in accord with Scriptural expectations.   Who cares about 2014

  i keep seeing posts expressing a view that 2014 is going to trigger a significant increase in unrest amongst witnesses as it's 100 years since 1914. there has also been some suggestions that the society will have to publish something to head this off at the pass.

  i can understand why this might seem a reasonable view but i am not hearing any discontent about the date amongst anyone i know.. my impression is that the significance of a 100 year anniversary of 1914 is of more import to those that have left the organisation and those already questioning things than it is to the average dub.. i also suspect that the society will not do anything that may raise the profile of 100 years passing.

  much more likely is more subtle messages such as the one in the jan magazine about "false alarms".

  JW tour bus crashes in Florida, with fatalities-

  miami - a bus carrying 32 members of a church group hit a concrete overpass at miami international airport after the driver got lost, killing two elderly people on board and leaving three others critically injured, officials said saturday.. the large, white bus was too tall for the 8-foot-6-inch entrance to the arrivals area, said airport spokesman greg chin.

  buses are supposed to go through the departures area, which has a higher ceiling, he said.. chin said the passengers told him they were part of a group of jehovah's witnesses headed to west palm beach.

  police said in a news release that the group had chartered the bus to take them to a church convention there-.

  huibers, a christian, used books 6-9 of genesis as his inspiration, following the instructions god gives noah down to the last cubit.

  translating to modern measurements, huibers came up with a vessel that works out to a whopping 427 feet (130 meters) long, 95 feet (29 meters) across and 75 feet (23 meters) high.

  "Shepherd" book published online by National Broadcasting Agency in Norway!

  wow, did not think this was possible... the whole shepherd the flock - book available + some of the late boe letters regarding child abuse policies and secrecy, published here by nrk (the national broadcaster in norway).. http://www.nrk.no/contentfile/file/1.10660993!2010_ks10-e3vedl%20til%20slutt%20%282%29.pdf.

  wonder how long it will be before it is removed?.

  and jw being top story, child abuse matters discussed from different angles.. well done to those who have been able to make nrk interested and give it full coverage!.

  mind. When northern Europeans discuss doctrine they think most brethren from the

  US/Canada have a stick up their butt.

  A quick experiment - what do you get if you Google "JW.org"?

  hi guys.

  i've noticed that a significant number of inbound search engine visits to jwsurvey.org are coming from the keyword "jw.org" - it's currently around 3 to 5 visits per hour.

  i quite like the thought that i'm getting extra traffic thanks to jws typing the address of the official website in their search bar rather than their address bar.. i've done a quick check, and i've noticed that although jw.org occupies the top ranking for this keyword, four of the other links to websites/videos on the first page are all anti-watchtower, including jwsurvey.org and jwleaks.org.. sometimes google tailors its results to suit the individual, so i'm curious to know - is everyone else finding the same thing when they do a search for this keyword?.
